why use single use plastic bags when we can create our own customized bag.

While buying things that don't necessarily require plastic bags like biscuits/noodles/tooth-paste, I avoid using extra plastic bags and keep them directly in my own bag. I hope that one day, all of us will be self-aware about how important such efforts can be in reducing plastic production and consumption. We are very comfortable using single use plastic bags without worrying about the consequences that those bags bring to our home Earth.


how can we go sustainable

It's easy ! we first need to figure out what are the habits that is causing foul to our environment.

How single use plastic bag is creating problem to our environment

You won't believe around 4 crore single use plastic bags are being used on daily basis only in Kathmandu valley i.e. approximately 16 percentage of urban waste is comprised of plastic bags in Nepal. Researchers clam that around 9 million single use plastic bags are produced so far which ends up being thrown to landfill sits, oceans causing huge problem to living beings and earth.


In Nepal plastic bag's have huge importance we use non-biodegradable bags to throw our organic waste, food waste, paper and many more. we just clean our houses and our

space but we don't care about our environment yet end up destroying our environment.

plastic bags are non recyclable, cause air pollution while burning, can be hazardous for small insects and animals, creates adverse effect to aquatic animals when thrown in water resource.

So, we need to get aware that use of plastic bags worsen the environment. plastic bags are not the solution to clean our houses we need to be aware about it and act from today.


what is the other option ?

Replace plastic bags with paper or reusable bags.

To live a sustainable lifestyle we can switch our habit, for the the first step is by switching from single use plastic bags to a paper or reusable bag. We can create our own bag or we can order a bag from different organization's such as Hamri bahini - the green angles. These bags are biodegradable and reusable also is budget friendly.
